Assessment accommodation

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service. As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring.

Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.

INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW

A complete application must be submitted, consisting of a résumé which clearly demonstrates how they meet the education and experience factors listed under the essential qualifications, as well as any of the asset qualifications that may apply.

The following information is required for each experience criterion:
1. Name of the department or organization where the experience was acquired;
2. Title of the position occupied and duration (including dates)
for which you exercised the functions;
3. Specific details of tasks, projects, or accomplishments
demonstrating how the experience was acquired.

The screening questions will be used as the primary tool in the screening process and the résumé will be used to substantiate the information provided.

Applications that do not clearly demonstrate how the screening criteria are meet WILL be eliminated from consideration.

Applicants are encouraged to apply only if they are willing and able to work in or relocate to the location of the positions being staffed.

CED offers financing and support to Quebec businesses and regions. We focus our interventions on SMEs and non-profit organizations with an economic vocation.

A partially or fully assessed pool may be established to staff similar positions within CED with various tenures, various linguistic profiles (bilingual imperative only), various operational requirements and/or various conditions of employment.

Indeterminate employees at the same group and level or equivalent may be considered for deployment first. If no deployment is made, applicants from other groups and levels will be considered in the advertised appointment process.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in business administration, accounting, commerce, finance, economics or in any other bachelor’s specialization combined with relevant experience.

*the term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Experience in the preparation, analysis, recommendation and monitoring of funding proposals for business or NPO projects, for example the feasibility of the client’s project, financial health (ratios), or risk analysis.
Experience in providing customer service, establishing partnerships and in business development, for example through meetings with and providing advice to entrepreneurs.
Experience in researching, analyzing, and organizing relevant information, with the aim of integrating it into the writing of reports or notes in order to facilitate decision-making

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET - EDUCATION
Master's degree from a recognized university with a specialization relevant to the position (such as business administration, finance, etc.).
Hold the title of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) of Québec.

Willingness to travel occasionally.
Willingness to do overtime occasionally.
Possession of a valid driver's license, or the ability to move around to an extent usually associated with the possession of a driver's license.
