► INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW
A complete application must be submitted, consisting of a résumé and screening questions which clearly demonstrates how they meet the education and experience factors listed under the essential qualifications, as well as any of the asset qualifications that may apply.

3. Specific details of tasks, projects, or accomplishments demonstrating how
the experience was acquired.

The screening questions will be used as the primary tool in the screening process and the résumé will be used to substantiate the information provided.

Applications that do not clearly demonstrate how the screening criteria are met may be eliminated from consideration.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service. As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.

Duties

The candidates will report to the Regional Heads and will provide support to the Regional Accommodation and Integrated Security Operations, in the areas of security, emergency management, Business Continuity Program and task related to accommodations. They will be part of a dynamic team that focuses on providing excellent client services.

Work environment

The position requires that the employee be on site but flexible work arrangements are possible. As such, the employee will be required to be on site based on operational needs.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one (1) English essential position on a temporary basis(12 months) and one (1) Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB position on an indeterminate basis.

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established from this process which may be used to staff similar positions within the Department of Justice.

ED1 - A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
EX1 - Recent* experience in a Corporate Security Program** in at least three (3) of the following areas:
o Physical Security
o Personnel Security
o Business Continuity Planning
o Information Security
o Investigations
o Security Awareness and Training
o Occupational Health and Safety
o Emergency Management
EX2 - Experience in participating in administrative reviews or investigations in the field of security.

NOTES:
* Recent experience is defined as within the last three (3) years.
** Corporate Security Program: Public organizations or private corporations with a well-defined corporate security program, structure and organization that is the business lead for identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes across the organization to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to liability in all areas of financial, physical, and personal risk; establish appropriate standards and risk controls associated with employee protection, information security, asset protection, emergency management and response; and, the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures related to information technology security. Typically, such organizations exist in Government Departments (Federal, Provincial, Territorial), large Municipalities, large corporations and public or private organizations with significant employee or campus type settings (e.g. hospitals, colleges, universities, large manufacturing plants, utilities companies, banks).
