Regional Investment Analyst
• The Regional Investment Analyst working in Portfolio Management conducts economic, investment, financial, socio-economic and risk analysis related to a Regional real estate portfolio incorporating client requirements, government priorities, policy objectives, regulations and legislation in order to ensure economic and financial viability of projects. It is a dynamic position that involves building working relationships with other teams in PSPC, other Government Departments and potentially other levels of government. Essentially, the Regional Investment Analyst must look through a strategic lens to ensure the best value solutions are pursued on behalf of the Crown.
Real Estate Advisor
• The Real Estate Advisor working in Real Estate Services provides advisory, strategic and transactional services to optimize the Crown’s real property portfolio while incorporating government priorities, policy objectives, regulations and legislations. This position is also dynamic and involves building working relationships with other teams in PSPC, other Government Departments, other levels of government, and private sector businesses.

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization* in economics, sociology or statistics.
*Acceptable specialization is defined as a minimum of (4) four courses in a particular field of study.
NOTE: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience. An indeterminate incumbent of a former ES position on June 30, 1967 who became an EC on June 22, 2009, who does not possess the minimum level of education as indicated above is deemed to meet this minimum educational standard based on his/her education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
*Significant experience in the following areas:
1. Experience in gathering and analyzing real property information to make recommendations to internal or external clients.
2. Experience with financial investment analysis or cost-benefit analysis in the context of non-residential real estate.
3. Experience in preparing **briefings for senior management (management level or higher), stakeholder groups or client organizations.
4. Experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
*Significant is defined by the depth, breadth and complexity of the activities performed as it relates to this function, normally acquired over a period of approximately two years.
** Briefings is defined as reports, presentations, status updates, project summaries, etc.
Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Economics, Sociology, Statistics, Business Administration, Real Estate, or Urban Planning.
Experience:
1. Experience managing both internal and external resources in the delivery of real property projects and/or transactions.
2. Experience in real estate transactions.
3. Experience in real estate advisory services.
4. Experience with Aboriginal Consultation and/or Accommodation.
5. Experience in writing business cases.
6. Experience in monitoring and developing investment strategies, portfolio plans or project proposals related to real property.
7. Experience in delivering *briefings to senior management (management level or higher), stakeholder groups or client organizations.

Operational Requirements:
1. Willing and able to travel, including overnight, as required.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pol/doc-eng.aspx?id=32694), federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring.
