In the Federal Public Service, Senior Management is referred to as the Executive group. This group is divided into five levels: EX-01, EX-02, EX-03, EX-04 and EX-05. The EX-05 and EX-04 are the Assistant Deputy Minister; EX-03 is the Director General/Executive Director level; EX-02 is the Senior Director level; and the EX-01 is the Director level. This advertisement is for positions at the EX-02 group and level.
As this process may be used to staff various roles across multiple departments, this opportunity may provide the successful candidate with the flexibility of working remotely (virtually) from anywhere in Canada where high Internet connectivity is offered. Candidates from coast to coast are therefore encouraged to apply.
We will be hosting an industry day where applicants can hear from current executives about what it means to be working in digital government. We will also be sharing tips and tricks on what we are looking for from applications, to help those who might not have applied to government competitions before. There will be a question and answer period at the end of the session.
INDUSTRY/INFORMATION DAY:
Industry/Information Day in French: November 9th 2pm- 3:30PM EST.
Industry/Information Day in English: November 10th 1:30-3PM EST
To enroll in either of these events, please email with your name, and preferred session to attend and we will send you a calendar invite for the event.
VACCINATION:
On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
