This process may be used by the Department of National Defence to fill current and future vacancies in various locations with various employment tenures (casual*, temporary or permanent), language profiles, security requirements, and conditions of employment.
*Casual employment is a temporary form of employment for a maximum of 90 working days per department in a calendar year. A casual worker may not apply to internal job opportunities. Shifts can include evenings, weekends and statutory holidays as well as “as and when required” during the week.

Must have a valid driver’s license
Must have or in the process of obtaining a valid DND 404 license.
Must possess Safe Driving Course, Initial (SDC - I) or equivalent or be willing and able to obtain this qualification within the first 6 months of beginning this position.
Ability and willingness to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, footwear and clothing
Ability and willingness to work under variable environmental/weather conditions
Ability and willingness to lift materials up to 20 kg
Ability and willingness to undertake training related to the duties of the position.
Willing and able to work in a warehouse environment with minimal supervision;
Willing and able to work overtime as pre-authorized.

6. 📢 Asset qualifications can be invoked as essential qualifications as identified by the hiring manager. For this reason, candidates are strongly encouraged to answer all screening questions related to Asset criteria in order to increase their chances.
7. On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
