Presently, the official location (designated workplace*) of the positons to be staffed is Place du Portage – Phase IV in the National Capital Region (NCR). However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Income Security and Social Development employees are required to work from home. When an eventual return to the workplace will be possible, there may be, at the manager’s discretion or based on operational requirements, a continued option or requirement to work from a different ESDC/Service Canada Office location or from an employee’s residence located in Canada. Therefore, individuals who believe they meet the listed essential qualifications of the position, regardless of where they live or work, are encouraged to apply.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to establish a pool of partially qualified candidates that can be used to staff multiple positions within the Income Security and Social Development Branch. A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Employment and Social Development Canada with various tenures, various linguistic requirements, various security requirements (Reliability or Secret).

EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Economics, Sociology or Statistics.

The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
