All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential. Assessment accommodation

Give yourself the best chance to succeed! As the objective of this process is to assess qualifications needed for the position(s) to be staffed, let us know if you have a functional limitation/ disability, which may affect your performance. For example, contact us if you need assistance in completing and submitting your application. Should you then proceed to the next assessment stage, such as an exam or interview, we will send you an e-mail with additional information on the assessment format so that you can determine if you may require an accommodation (such as a different test format, an adaptive technology, or additional time). Assessment accommodations are designed to remove the obstacles without altering the criteria being assessed so candidates with functional limitations can fully demonstrate their abilities.

You may also review jobs open to the public through INFOTEL at 1-800-645-5605. The INFOTEL number for persons using a TTY/TDD is 1-800-532-9397.

SSC is committed to providing opportunities across Canada where feasible, and to increasing its regional presence. We encourage working from the location of your choice within Canada.

Intent of the process

This is a continuous intake of applications to create and maintain an inventory of qualified candidates at various levels to draw from when positions become available.

PLEASE NOTE: Responses to the screening questions will be used to provide appropriate referrals to managers. Answering no to any of the screening questions will not eliminate you from the inventory.

This inventory will be used for two purposes:
1.CURRENT PUBLIC SERVANTS who are looking for opportunities at level- deployment, secondment, assignment and Interchange opportunities. No acting appointments or promotions will be offered through this employment opportunity.
2. INDIVIDUALS OUTSIDE THE PUBLIC SERVICE who are looking for casual or part-time worker opportunities.

ARE YOU A PUBLIC SERVANT EMPLOYEE LOOKING FOR AT-LEVEL OPPORTUNITIES ?
Please confirm that your Personal Record Identifier (PRI) is indicated in your settings under : My Account/ Personal information / Name and Identification. This is mandatory for you to be considered for at-level opportunities. * It is important that your substantive group and level is clearly indicated in your resume.*

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES IN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT?
This inventory is for people interested in working in the federal government as a casual employment or a Part-time Worker.

PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT DEFINED:
Part-Time Workers mean a person who is not ordinarily required to work more than one-third of the normal scheduled daily or weekly hours of work established for persons doing similar work. Typically, part-time workers do not work more than 12.5 hours per week.

CASUAL EMPLOYMENT DEFINED:
Casual employment is a temporary employment of 90 working days or less, in a calendar year, to meet needs arising from such contingencies as vacations, sick and training leaves, to conduct special projects that are anticipated but dependent of the availability of funds, etc. Casual appointments are excluded from the provisions of the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). This means casual appointments will not be eligible to apply to internal appointment processes. In addition, the PSEA specifies that the number of days worked as a casual worker cannot exceed 90 days in a calendar year within the same department.
