Work environment

Our workplaces have temporary or permanent measures in place to ensure the health and safety of employees as well as the continuity of operations. Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to recruit persons with disabilities from across the country to provide services to Canadians while contributing to a workforce that is reflective of Canada's diversity.

This process is in support of current and future staffing needs at the Government of Canada. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications will be contacted for consideration.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination* of education, training and/or experience) is required.

*An acceptable combination is defined as completion of three years of secondary school and a minimum of two years of cumulative work experience.
If you acquired your diploma outside of Canada, you will be required to provide a Canadian equivalency certificate.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
You must have experience in conducting research through databases, internet sources or other data sources.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Graduation by June 30, 2022, with a diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution (i.e., community college, CÉGEP, or university education). Specific positions may require a particular specialization, level of education, or a certification.

Degree equivalency

One or more of the following experience MAY be required for some positions and will be assessed only if required:
• Experience providing client services by phone, in person, or electronically (e.g. by email).
• Experience in delivering programs or services that require providing information, explanation or clarification to the general public.
• Experience using technology in a variety of computer applications to create documents such as emails, reports, spreadsheets, and/or presentations.
• Experience interpreting and applying legislation or policies.

• Willing and able to work variable hours, including working nights and/or weekends and/or shift work and/or overtime, and/or part-time or full-time hours based on operational requirements

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - Enhanced Reliability or Secret clearance may be required for some positions.

ABOUT THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS

You’ll be assessed to ensure that you meet the qualifications of these positions. Following your application, you will be required to successfully write the Public Service Entrance Exam - Test of Judgement (TOJ) online. REGARDING THE REQUIREMENT TO BE VACCINATED:

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
