Intent of the process

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Natural Resources Canada and in the Federal Public Service with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post secondary institution with acceptable specialization in engineering, chemistry, or some other specialty related to the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Recent* experience in at least one or more of the following areas of explosives and pyrotechnics: design, manufacturing, storage or transportation.
Recent* experience managing regulatory activities, including those related to non-compliance.
Recent* experience providing training to new or junior team members.
Recent* experience managing complex files.
Experience in providing strategic advice, making recommendations, writing and presenting to senior management on complex technical issues related to explosives.
Experience in analyzing and providing advice, and recommendations related to explosives.

*Recent experience is defined as having performed the duties for a minimum of 18 months within the last 5 years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience working with the explosives industry.
Experience in consulting with multiple stakeholders.

Knowledge of explosives compliance and enforcement standards and practices.
