The intent of this process is to establish shortlist(s) of candidates that will be used to fill current and anticipatory AS-05 & 06 positions with National Defence.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
AS-05 & AS-06:
EX1. Recent* experience in the development and implementation of project plans and leading projects**.
EX2. Experience providing recommendations to senior management on issues, trends, or strategic direction.
EX3. Experience providing strategic advice and recommendations to clients or stakeholders.
EX4. Recent* and significant*** experience in researching and analyzing information in order to prepare written material (such as briefing notes, correspondence, presentations and/or reports) for senior management, clients or stakeholders.
AS-06 Only:
EX5. Recent* and significant*** experience in managing teams.
* Recent experience refers to experience obtained within the past five (5) years.
**Leading projects is defined as directing, instructing and guiding a group of individuals for the purpose of achieving a certain goal.
*** Significant experience is defined to mean the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of the various complex activities and equivalent for at least two (2) years.
Experience may be adjusted depending on the positions being staffed.

EDUCATION:
AED1. Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
AED2. Professional certifications such as but not limited to: Business Continuity Institute (BCI); Risk Management Professional; Operational Risk Manager; or Project Management Professional.
AED3. Graduation with a degree or a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a relevant social science such as psychology, criminology, victimology, social work or sexology.
AED4. Certificate in Health and Safety from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience in a field related to health and safety at work.
EXPERIENCE:
AS-05 & AS-06:
AE1. Experience managing multi -disciplinary teams.
AE2. Experience delivering presentations to a variety of internal and external project stakeholders.
AE3. Experience in establishing new working relationships and liaising with internal and external stakeholder groups.
AE4. Experience in leading, designing and/or supporting change management projects or activities.
AE5. Experience providing support, counselling and/or interventions to vulnerable populations (ex. trauma, mental or physical illness, etc.) in a social service or health care context.
AE6. Experience conducting restorative practices or conflict resolution.
AE7. Experience in institutional risk management.
AE8. Experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities such as Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
AE9. Experience in the management of operational planning, delivery and administrative support services.
AE10. Experience in the creation and implementation of business plans or human resources plans.
AE11. Experience researching, developing, analysing, and implementing policy proposals, procedures or legislations.
AE12. Experience providing support and guidance on employee workplace accommodations (duty to accommodate), return to work (RTW), and disability management (DM) as per the Human Rights Act prohibiting grounds of discrimination.
AE13. Experience in planning, conducting and reporting investigation and examinations into allegations of impropriety, mismanagement or other irregularities in a law enforcement context.
AE14. Experience in leading and conducting data science and/or data analytics projects or activities.
AE15. Experience in the management and administration of a subsection of the Directorate of Military Pay and Allowances Processing (DMPAP) for the delivery of Compensation and Benefits Services.
AE16. Experience in coordinating, planning and providing strategic advice to senior managers and stakeholders for facilitating the implementation of Official Languages (OL) policies.
AE17. Experience in coordinating, planning and/or managing the delivery of program(s) and/or service(s) related to the administration of real property assets and accommodations.
AE18. Experience coordinating and providing secretariat services for governance boards.
AE19. Experience providing management advice in the field of Occupational Health and Safety or Industrial hygiene.
AE20. Experience providing professional, personalized and standardized transition services and guidance to transitioning Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, Veterans and their families.
AE21. Experience analyzing and leading organizational change for Department of National Defence (DND) or the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).
AE22. Experience manipulating data and conducting data extraction in/from Guardian (HRMS).
AE23. Experience working with the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS or SAP).
AE24. Experience working in a Health Services environment.
AE25. Experience working with grievances, including the onset of request and disclosure process.
AE26. Experience working or volunteering in a mixed civilian and military environment.
AE27. Experience in developing processes, practices and maintenance of polygraph machines, instruments and customized software.
AE28. Experience in activities related to Departmental Security program.
