We are looking for talent in:
STREAM 1:
Economic Statistics: Responsible for the collection, analysis and publication of data to support a large and complex statistical program designed to produce economic statistics covering all aspects of the Canadian economy.
Social, Health and Labour Statistics: Responsible for the quality, relevance, and accessibility to the public of a large and complex statistical program designed to produce socioeconomic statistics covering all aspects of Canadian society including information and analysis on health, education, aging, justice, income and wealth, labour, immigration, Indigenous people, ethnicity, social engagement, youth, families, gender, language and other characteristics essential to an understanding of the quality of life of Canadians.
Strategic Data Management, Methods and Analysis: Responsible for providing agency-wide strategic leadership over a broad range of professional services, ensuring that the statistical methodologies and the statistical standards for geographical units, statistical units, variables and classifications used by the agency’s statistical programs are sound, making use of expert knowledge and a broad range of data sources and modeling techniques to address the information needs of users through comprehensive, horizontal and integrated analysis and research, modeling and predictive analytics, and data development.
STREAM 2:
Strategic Engagement: Responsible for providing strategic direction and expert guidance for the comprehensive suite of communications functions including the management of some of the Agency’s data access channels (e.g. research data centres and the department’s web site) as well as enhancing the Agency’s capacity to engage with a wide range of partners and stakeholders.
Census, Regional Services and Operations: Responsible for the conduct, quality, relevance, and accessibility of the Census program and provides a wide range of operational services such has questionnaire design and development, survey collection and research, tax data acquisition and data processing to support and enhance the statistical production process in the agency.

ASSET – EDUCATION
AEDU1 Graduation with a Master’s or Doctoral degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology, statistics, epidemiology or in a field relevant to the duties of the position being staffed.
AEDU2 Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) designation.
AEDU3 Project Management certification or designation.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
Asset qualifications may be used in the determination of those to be given further consideration in the assessment process and candidates may be required to meet the asset qualifications, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed.
