The intent of this process is to staff up to [ten] indeterminate positions. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and used to staff similar positions across Canada within Environment and Climate Change Canada with various tenures (Term, Assignment, Secondment, Acting, Indeterminate, Deployment), various security levels and various language requirements which may vary according to the position being staffed.

Your résumé.
Candidates must clearly explain in detail how they meet the essential and asset experience qualifications by indicating HOW (clearly explain your duties), WHEN and for HOW LONG (date and length of time in months or years), and WHERE (employer and geographic location) this experience was acquired. One approach is to write one or two paragraphs demonstrating, with clear and accurate details, how you meet the criteria. A person may be appointed to the position without meeting any or all of the asset qualifications; however, meeting these criteria is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.
EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree (Masters) from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
NOTE: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCES:
EX1. *Significant experience in leading and conducting complex research, analysis or evaluation of policies, frameworks, strategies, or regulatory proposals related to the Government of Canada’s environmental policy agenda.
EX2. *Significant experience in leading the development of strategic policy or economic advice to **senior management in the private or public sector.
EX3. Experience in preparing strategic or economic analyses, reports, or briefing materials for **senior management.
EX4. Experience in establishing partnerships and collaborative working arrangements across various branches of a department, with other government departments, or with external stakeholders.
Note: EC-07 positions will also require:
EX5. Experience in management of human and financial resources.
* Significant experience means
EC-06 positions: The depth and breadth of work demonstrated normally acquired by performing the duties for a period of at least two (2) consecutive years.
EC-07 positions: The depth and breadth of work demonstrated normally acquired by performing the duties for a period of at least (3) consecutive years.
** Senior Management: Director General-level, their equivalent, or a more senior official.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
