Duties

Provides executive administrative support to the Chief Audit and Evaluation Executive through the management of documents via a correspondence management system, screens calls and visitors, conducts research and drafts replies to correspondence. Participates and provides secretariat services for Branch Management Committee meetings and other organized events. Liaises with internal and external senior officials on behalf of the Chief Audit and Evaluation Executive.

Work environment

Currently, employees have not yet returned to their workplace due to the context of COVID-19. Therefore, the successful candidate may have to work remotely until further notice.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one (1) bilingual imperative CCC/CCC position on an indeterminate basis.

A partially or fully assessed pool may be established to staff similar positions within the Department of Justice with various tenures, various linguistic profiles (bilingual imperative only), various operational requirements and/or various conditions of employment.

Upon request, this pool may also be shared with other federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) to staff similar positions in their organization.

EX1 - Experience in providing administrative support in an executive’s* office, including managing their calendar, coordinating virtual meetings or virtual events.
EX2 - Experience in the production of general correspondence such as emails, memorandums or records of decisions.
EX3 - Experience in managing incoming and outgoing documentation utilizing an automated system such as Digital Writer (DW) or CCM Mercury.
EX4 - Experience in the operation of MS Office Suite and Excel.

*Executive is defined as Director level (EX-01) and above or executives in private or public sector organizations external to the Federal Public Service.
