Pacific Economic Development Canada (PacifiCan) is the new regional development agency focused on British Columbia’s evolving economy. PacifiCan is taking the lead in building a strong, competitive economy by supporting business, innovation and community economic development in British Columbia.

We are looking for communications experts to join our team in a variety of roles. As we grow, we’ll need people who can write engaging communications materials for internal and external audiences, provide communications advice to senior officials, organize announcements and stakeholder engagement, and support our new service locations.

We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the process, please contact Lisa De Santis by email at .

All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.

Duties

Flexibility, adaptability and a ‘can-do’ attitude are key attributes of this team! Of course, the ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure are also part of the job – but you will never be alone.

You’ll be joining a dynamic team of dedicated, hard-working communicators who love their work and who are committed to working as a team. You’ll work with PacifiCan staff, industry leaders, community groups and passionate entrepreneurs in a variety of areas.

You will have opportunities to use your expertise at a communicator to work with our partners and clients to help them tell their stories and to describe the role that PacifiCan has had in supporting their success.

PacifiCan is small, nimble and unlike any public sector organization.

As public health restrictions ease, the successful candidate will be expected to report to a PacifiCan office location in British Columbia.

PacifiCan offices are open environments with well-regulated air quality, ergonomic sit/stand workstations, and a combination of natural and fluorescent lighting.

Intent of the process
