As part of the RCMP National Policing Services, the CPC has an extensive mandate, providing specialized training that is unique to the College, and extending these services to law enforcement communities from around the world.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC and a RCMP Secret security clearance.

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP with various tenures, with a bilingual linguistic profiles of CBC/CBC and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
-Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in human resources management, organizational development psychology, public or business administration, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
-Recent* and significant** experience in managing the development, implementation and/or evaluation of complex learning products and programs
-Significant* experience in providing expert strategic advice and briefings to senior officials (Director General and above, or equivalent executive in the private sector) on complex matters***.
-Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with various stakeholders such as federal government officials, provincial/territorial governments, law enforcement, policing services, Indigenous, communities, Black, other racialized communities and academia.
-Significant** experience in human resources and financial management (please indicate the number of employees directly supervised and the budget for which you had direct responsibility).

Note:
-*Recent is defined as within the last five (5) years.
-**Significant experience is defined as having the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various, complex related activities which would have been acquired over a period of 2 years or more.
-***Complex matters are issues with at least two (2) of the following characteristics: multidimensional; sensitive; confidential; affecting many partners or stakeholders; precedent setting; having a major impact on organizations; or having a potential for significant media coverage. Candidates need to clearly demonstrate the complexity.

Education:
-Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized university in a field relevant to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

-Experience in working in a policing or public safety environment.
-Experience in developing and implementing innovative leadership strategies and educational programming to support the development of middle managers and senior executives.
-Recent* experience in managing an enterprise-wide learning management system and/or new learning technologies.
