Duties

The Role:
As Manager of the President’s Office at Pacific Economic Development Canada, your hyper-organizational skills allow you to create space for the President to think and strategize. You help the President to maximize the value of their time through your impeccable service and support to the President, the senior leadership team and to key stakeholders. You liaise with the Minister’s Office, political staff, members of the Executive team, Provincial and Municipal governments and agencies, external stakeholders and partners working in the economic development and innovation space.

General Requirements:
We are looking for an individual who has a track record for providing outstanding administrative services to a senior leader. Exceptional written and verbal communications skills are a prerequisite. Experience with government decision-making processes such as Cabinet, Treasury Board, Parliamentary and budgetary affairs is an asset. Proficiency in both official languages (French and English) is welcome.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are working remotely for the time being. PacifiCan will provide tools and/or equipment to support remote work. As public health restrictions ease, the successful candidate may be expected to report to the Vancouver office location in Library Square and/or to PacifiCan Headquarters located in Surrey, British Columbia. Experience:
• Experience providing executive assistance and managing the office of a senior executive.

• Experience in the control and the administration of executive correspondence including editing and drafting.
• Experience managing human and financial resources.
