Intent of the process

This inventory may be used by the Department of National Defence to fill current and future vacancies with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
Possession of a valid red-seal inter-provincial journeyperson's certification as an Instrumentation and controls technician.

EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Experience in the installation, operation, calibration and maintenance of a variety of Building automation control systems;
EX2: Experience troubleshooting and analyzing problems with digital, electronic and pneumatic controls and systems; and
EX3: Experience working in a multi-trade team environment.

Operational requirements
OR1: Willing and able to adjust work schedule to meet operational requirements as required.
OR2: Willing and able to work overtime, shift, and be on call.
OR3: Willing and able to work in adverse conditions/environments which may include, but not limited to, confined spaces, heights, and extreme weather conditions;
OR4: Willing and able to obtain a departmental vehicle operators permit (DND 404);
OR5: Willing and able to lift up to 20kgs in accordance with safety practices.

- Possession of a valid un-restricted Nova Scotia Class 5 Driver’s License or the equivalent in another province or territory;
- Employees are required to comply with applicable safety regulations and procedures including wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment; and
