The First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) has a long history of ensuring that primary health care and supplemental health benefits are provided to First Nations and Inuit across Canada. Our sector is working directly with First Nations partners and with communities to provide support to the COVID-19 response.
The intent of this inventory is to fill temporary (casual, term) needs related to the current situation (COVID-19), whether to work on special projects or by supporting the resources working on regular operations within the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch at Indigenous Services Canada.
All federal organizations listed in the Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) may use this selection process to staff similar positions in their organization.
First consideration may be given to candidates who have experience working with Indigenous communities or who self-identify as Aboriginal.

Education
For CR positions:
• Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).
For AS and PM positions:
• Successful completion of a secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience
General experience (need to meet at least these experience requirements):
• Recent* and significant** experience in using Excel
• Experience completing work within tight timeframes
• Experience tracking and following-up on action requests
For clerical positions:
• Experience working in an administrative and/or clerical role
For project coordinators or leads:
• Experience managing or coordinating a project, including developing, managing, and tracking milestones/outcomes and resources
Recent* is defined as having been acquired within the last five (5) years
Significant** is defined as having performed a broad range of activities related to the work, which is normally acquired over a period of at least two (2) years.

Operational Requirements
• Willingness and ability to travel, including overnight travel for multiple days, in a small aircraft, off road vehicles and by boat in varied weather conditions to remote/isolated or rural communities.
