EXPERIENCE:

Experience in industrial upholstery or small-scale upholstery in the textile industry.

KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of CORCAN employment programs.

ABILITIES:

Ability to communicate effectively orally.

Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

Ability to coordinate production, schedule and assign work.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

EDUCATION:

Successful completion of a Vocational Studies Diploma (DSV) in small-scale upholstery or industrial upholstery.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Experience training and supervising employees in upholstery techniques and shop safety.

Experience in inventory control processes related to material and tools & equipment.

Experience operating and performing general maintenance on various shop tools and equipment
used in upholstery.

Experience with warehouse operations including shipping and receiving.

Experience working in a production shop environment including managing production requirements and meeting scheduled completion dates.

Experience in ISO or quality management systems.

Experience in implementing waste management practices.

Operational Requirements:

Willingness and ability to work overtime according to operational requirements at a short notice.

Willingness and ability to work shifts (evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays) when required.
