The intent of this process is to staff 6 positions on an indeterminate basis. A pool of candidates may be established to staff similar positions with various tenures and/or linguistic requirements within Global Affairs Canada.

Your résumé.
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Economics, Sociology or Statistics.
Note: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
All Streams:
• Experience in supporting multiple issues in an environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Experience in working with internal and external stakeholders.
Stream 1
• Experience conducting research and analysis related to human resources, compensation, pensions or benefits.
• Experience analyzing issues, determining implications and providing written recommendations.
Stream 2
• Experience in one (1) or more of the following areas:
- Financial planning and budgeting
- Financial reporting
- Financial policy
- Financial Systems
- Internal Control
- Accounting Operations
- Auditing
- Costing
• Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in law, finance, accounting, actuarial science or public administration.
• A degree or certification in a field related to pension and benefits.
• Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation.
• Experience in the preparation or review of products to communicate complex pension-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders, such as pension plan members.
• Experience in analyzing the governance and oversight structures of pension and benefit plans.
• Experience in pension and benefits program designs.
• Experience in pension risk frameworks.
• Experience in operational strategic planning.
• Experience managing financial resources.
• Experience in one or more of the following:
o funding frameworks for pension and benefit plans;
o pension investment performance;
o pension accounting.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

• Knowledge of the Government of Canada’s Policy Development Process.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and/or financial calculations.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally, both domestically and abroad.

6. You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. 7. The board members may retain a certain number of applicants for further assessment, based on a top-down approach or based on some of the assets qualifications.
