This process will initially be used to staff one position on an indeterminate basis. A qualified pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate, term or acting basis.

Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.1
1 Proof of education will be required prior to appointment.
EX1 - Experience in the provision of administrative support services including three of the following: data entry, preparing correspondence, ordering office supplies, filing, or processing mail.
EX2 - Experience providing service to internal or external clients / general public, via telephone or in person.
EX3 - Experience using a personal computer and word processing and spreadsheet software.
EX4 - Experience in detachment related court duties.
AEX1 - Experience transcribing statements from audio cassettes or digital media
AEX2 - Experience working in a law enforcement and/or legal environment.
AEX3 - Experience working with the provincial court system.
AEX4 - Training and/or experience in providing financial support services such as the collection and recording of monies received, handling petty cash funds, verifying supplier invoices, preparing invoices.
AEX5 - Experience in maintaining a law enforcement database such as: Police Reporting Occurrence System (PROS) or Canadian Police Information (CPIC).
OR1 - Willingness and ability to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
OR2 - Willingness and ability to travel for work and/or training purposes using various modes of transportation (including owned or leased government transport, commercial and light aircraft).
OR3 - Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required.
OR4 - Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license or personal mobility normally associated with a valid driver’s license.

Reliability Status security clearance - NOTE: Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain an RCMP security clearance involves a security/reliability interview and a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity which includes reference checks, verification of credit/financial status, education, employment, etc. As such, the process may take several weeks or months to complete.
