๐Ÿ“ข ๐๐Ž๐“๐„: When submitting your application for this selection process, please ensure you clearly demonstrate in your COVER LETTER how you meet the essential and asset education and experience criteria. It is NOT sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather you must clearly demonstrate HOW, WHEN, and WHERE the qualification was met through substantiation by examples. The curriculum vitae may be a secondary source to confirm the education and experience described in the cover letter. Failure to provide the information in the format required may result in your application being rejected from the process.

๐ˆ๐๐’๐“๐‘๐”๐‚๐“๐ˆ๐Ž๐๐’

In your cover letter, be sure you:

โ€ข Use the wording of each education and experience criterion as a heading and then demonstrate that you have the education and experience and ensure that clear and accurate details are provided.
โ€ข For the education criteria, please explain how you meet the education criteria by indicating: year, institution and highest level completed.
โ€ข Provide concrete, specific examples of actions that speak directly to the experience sought.
โ€ข Choose examples with sufficient complexity, impact and degree of difficulty that will allow you to illustrate to what extent and depth you have shown the behaviors expected for each qualification.
โ€ข Focus on what you did. In referring to an experience achieved in the context of a team, set your role apart from the role(s) of others.
โ€ข Please describe the achievements in the past tense. This will help to ensure that you are providing concrete examples, rather than making general statements (e.g. instead of saying โ€œI work well within a teamโ€ฆ.โ€ you can say โ€œI worked well with a team whenโ€ฆ.โ€).
โ€ข Use action verbs when describing your experience i.e. lead, managed, organized, planned, prepared, informed, determined, etc.
โ€ข Provide all examples in sentence format.
โ€ข Each example must include when the example took place, background of each situation, what you did, how you did it, what your role was in the situation, and what was the outcome.
