๐ข ๐๐๐๐: When submitting your application for this selection process, please ensure you clearly demonstrate in your COVER LETTER how you meet the essential and asset education and experience criteria. It is NOT sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather you must clearly demonstrate HOW, WHEN, and WHERE the qualification was met through substantiation by examples. The curriculum vitae may be a secondary source to confirm the education and experience described in the cover letter. Failure to provide the information in the format required may result in your application being rejected from the process.
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
In your cover letter, be sure you:
โข Use the wording of each education and experience criterion as a heading and then demonstrate that you have the education and experience and ensure that clear and accurate details are provided.
โข For the education criteria, please explain how you meet the education criteria by indicating: year, institution and highest level completed.
โข Provide concrete, specific examples of actions that speak directly to the experience sought.
โข Choose examples with sufficient complexity, impact and degree of difficulty that will allow you to illustrate to what extent and depth you have shown the behaviors expected for each qualification.
โข Focus on what you did. In referring to an experience achieved in the context of a team, set your role apart from the role(s) of others.
โข Please describe the achievements in the past tense. This will help to ensure that you are providing concrete examples, rather than making general statements (e.g. instead of saying โI work well within a teamโฆ.โ you can say โI worked well with a team whenโฆ.โ).
โข Use action verbs when describing your experience i.e. lead, managed, organized, planned, prepared, informed, determined, etc.
โข Provide all examples in sentence format.
โข Each example must include when the example took place, background of each situation, what you did, how you did it, what your role was in the situation, and what was the outcome.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details (https://www.canada.ca/en/treasury-board-secretariat/news/2021/10/backgrounder-covid-19-vaccine-requirement-for-the-federal-workforce.html) of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pol/doc-eng.aspx?id=32694), federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
