Intent of the process

A pool of (fully or partially) qualified candidates will be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions in the Public Service with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate), various linguistic requirements ((imperative and/or non-imperative), language requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential and Bilingual) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC and CCC/CCC)), various security requirements, various conditions of employment and for various locations.

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
• A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EX1. Experience in real property or in a real property service delivery program.
EX2. Significant* experience in project planning and implementation for construction refit or fit-up of real property facilities.
EX3. Significant** experience in managing project teams including consultants and/or contractors.

**Significant is defined as experience normally associated with full-time performance of duties acquired over a period of approximately three (3) years.

Certification in PMI or PRINCE2

Experience:
AEX1. Experience in developing or contributing to corporate strategic plans, business plans, operations plans or investment plans.
AEX2. Experience managing or supervising staff. (this includes but is not limited to managing HR issues/needs, Labour relations issues, training/development, mentoring, recruitment, or performance management etc.).
AEX3. Experience in the management of a diverse Real Property portfolio such as crown-owned or leased or residential properties.
AEX4. Experience in establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with various stakeholders, such as other federal government departments or agencies, other levels of government, the business lines of internal service, or private sector organizations.
AEX5. Experience developing policies, frameworks, tools or templates in the field of project and/or real property management
AEX6. Experience in developing and/or implementing strategies, policies, processes and/or standards in the field of Real Property, capital planning, environmental management, occupational health and safety, sustainable development or investment analysis.
AEX7. Experience in leading significant change to the field of Real Property.
