We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.
When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.
***VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: It is the responsibility of the candidate to clearly outline that they meet each of the screening criteria (i.e. Education and Experience Qualifications, both Essential and Assets) by RESPONDING TO THE SCREENING QUESTIONS IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION. Please note that it is not sufficient to only state that the requirement is met or to provide a listing of current responsibilities, rather the candidate must provide concrete examples that illustrate how they meet the requirement. Lack of EXAMPLES and DETAILS may result in your application being rejected as the Assessment Board will have insufficient information to determine whether or not you meet the qualifications.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR RESPONSES TO THE PRE-SCREENING QUESTIONS AND YOUR RESUME WILL EVALUATE YOUR ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY IN WRITING.
It is anticipated that the first batch of candidates from the inventory will be drawn on September 28, 2021
The role of a Junior Officer in the National Monitoring Centre’s operation is to manage and respond to various Electronic Monitoring (EM) related alerts, engage and interact with community stakeholders, analyze, disseminate and gather information in relation to EM alerts and offenders involved; and edit, write and distribute to stakeholders database entries in relation to EM alerts received.
The National Monitoring Centre (NMC) is a 24/7 operations centre with a mandate of managing afterhours emergencies and security incidents in the community involving federal offenders on conditional release and reporting various security incidents in our federal institution. In order to achieve this mandate the NMC manages multiple programs including the Electronic Monitoring (EM) Program, which uses a device attached to an offender’s ankle to monitor their movements.
A pool of partially or fully assessed candidates resulting from this Inventory may be used to staff future positions within the National Monitoring Centre.
