The Indigenous Advisory and Monitoring Committee is a partnership between federal government, the regulator, and Indigenous Nations impacted by the Line 3 Replacement Program. The Committee is made up of 16 members from Indigenous Nations, one member from Natural Resources Canada, and one member from Canada Energy Regulator.
The position works within the Secretariat for the Indigenous Advisory and Monitoring Committee for the Line 3 Replacement Program and provides support for administration including scheduling, coordinating, and tracking meetings, projects, and tasks, to advance Indigenous monitoring and other Committee priorities.
The Secretariat is located within Indigenous Partnerships Office – West, within the Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation Sector of Natural Resources Canada.

The immediate need is to staff one (1) determinate position.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar AS-02 positions at Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate), language requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential and Bilingual Imperative or Non-Imperative) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC,CCC/CCC, etc.), locations and conditions of employment.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - candidates MUST meet each essential qualification to be considered for a position:
Education
• A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).
Note 1: The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
o A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
o An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience
• Experience in coordinating administrative activities, including scheduling meetings and preparing documents or other briefing material for meetings.
• Experience in preparing a variety of written material such as: reports, emails, responses to correspondence, etc.
• Experience tracking tasks, activities, time, or information.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, such as, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - candidates MAY be required to meet one or more of the following qualifications to be considered for a position:
Education
• A degree or a diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the position.
Experience
• Experience in tasking and coordinating follow up correspondence.
• Experience working in an Indigenous organization.
• Experience working on delivery of a program focused on Indigenous Nations or Peoples.
• Experience working with Indigenous clients.
• Experience providing administrative support for several individuals as part of a team.
• Experience setting up or managing contracts.
• Experience related to staffing.
Operational Requirement
• Willing and able to work overtime on short notice.
