Stream 1:
The EG05 Assistant Project Manager directly reports to a Senior Project Manager and assists this senior position (or other project managers) in the management, development and delivery of high risk and complex, minor/major capital projects for the RCMP through an integrated, multi-disciplinary RCMP project team in partnership with external stakeholders. These projects are delivered across Canada including the Territories. The work requires a considerable degree of initiative, judgment, innovation and responsibility; frequent visits to construction sites which may include isolated and remote areas, involving overnight absences from home. Visits and inspections will often require maneuvering in restricted, irregular and/or confined spaces, over and around equipment and obstacles.
Stream 2:
The EG05 Technical Services Analyst directly reports to the Manager, Technical Standards and assists in the communication, management, development, review and implementation of technical standards, guidelines and policies. Preparing options, options analysis and recommendations based on policy. Working with other stakeholders to develop standards and policies. Work may require overnight absences from home, including isolated locations and remote areas.
Stream 3:
The EG05 Green Building Analyst directly reports to the Building Performance Engineer and assists this senior position in the management, development and implementation of the Green Building Policy program. The work involves engaging with both external and internal stakeholder groups in support of the policy program as well as providing support to internal stakeholders on federal governmental reporting processes that help inform the Green Building policy. It involves developing guidelines, standards, policies and tools as well as partaking in project review activities.

The positions are located in Ottawa. As a result of the global pandemic, Corporate Management employees are currently working from home. Should the current telework environment no longer apply, the successful candidate could be required to report and work onsite from the Ottawa office.
The immediate need is to staff 3 positions on an indeterminate basis for Stream 1 with linguistic profiles of English essential and Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB and a RCMP Enhanced Reliability security clearance. This is an anticipatory process for Stream 2 & 3.
A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

► A secondary school diploma or a combination of education, training and/or experience.
All Streams:
► Significant* and recent** experience in the preparation of contract documentation and specifications of Real Property projects in relation to compliance with applicable legislation, codes and polices.
► Significant* and recent** experience in conducting quality control and quality assurance, control monitoring and inspection of project deliverables throughout the project life-cycle.
► Significant* and recent** experience in at least seven of the following real-property project activities:
• client requirements / functional programming
• design/construction drawing review
• estimating
• budget control
• scheduling
• security clearance management
• contract management
• construction management
• site review / inspection
• move management
• commissioning review
• claims management
• project reporting
• project close-out
Stream 1:
► Significant* and recent** experience in the delivery of a real-property project as a member of a project team and/or providing assistance to the project manager.
Streams 2 and 3:
► Significant* and recent** experience in the development of guidance/reference documents in support of real property design or construction projects.
► Significant* and recent** experience in consulting internal and external stakeholders in the development of standards, policies and guidelines.
* Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the execution of a diverse range of complex activities that are normally acquired over a period of about three (3) years. Depth and breadth is defined as involving multiple issues, multiple partners / stakeholders and multiple impacts/risks.
** Recent is defined as the experiences attained within the last five (5) years
Asset Qualifications:
► Successful completion of approved post-secondary school training in architecture/architectural technology, engineering, construction, interior design or related disciplines.
► Multiple credits toward accreditation or full accreditation as a Project Management Professional via the Project Management Institute; or Prince II Foundation Accreditation or other recognized Project Management Accreditation.
► Multiple credits toward accreditation or full accreditation as a LEED Green Associate or Accredited Professional, or similarly, a Certified Energy Manager.
► Experience using computer aided design software (AutoCad).
► Experience with working on projects that incorporated design principles from an industry-wide accepted green building standard such as, but not limited to, Canadian Green Building Council, Green Globes and other similar programs.
