The Parole Board of Canada (PBC) contributes to public safety with its core responsibility for the controlled, timed and gradual release of offenders back into society. The skills and talents of our staff are central to this work.

Our immediate need is to staff one full-time indeterminate position.
A pool of candidates may be created to staff similar positions within the Parole Board of Canada with different linguistic profiles via various employment tenures such as indeterminate, deployment, specified period appointment, acting, assignment or secondment.

Education
ED1. A secondary school diploma or *the employer-approved alternatives.
*The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience
E1. Experience in providing administrative support services such as but not limited to: drafting and/or reviewing correspondence; providing logistical support for meetings; answering requests for information in person over the telephone and via email; managing a manager's daily calendar.
E2. Experience in using Word, Excel and Outlook.
Bilingual - Imperative (CCC/CCC)

A-ED1. Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position such as but not limited to: Administrative Assistant Techniques, Secretarial Techniques, Business Administration.
Experience
A-E1 - Experience in arranging work related travel.
Operational Requirement
Willingness and ability to work overtime on occasion.
