Intent of the process

The intent of this selection process is to staff one indeterminate position.

A pool of (fully or partially) qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate), various security requirements, various conditions of employment and for various locations.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

NOTE: Indeterminate incumbents of PE positions on October 1, 1999 who do not possess the education level prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

*Recent and **significant experience as a Labour Relations Advisor providing advice and recommendations to management on a variety of labour relations issues.
Experience in the interpretation of laws, policies, directives, collective agreements, legislation guidelines or regulations related to the Human Resources discipline.

*Recent experience is defined as acquired in the last five (5) years.
** Significant is defined as having the depth, breadth and complexity of experience associated with the performance of a wide variety of duties for approximately 2 years.

Experience in the creation and maintenance of effective relationships in collaboration with union representatives.
Experience supervising.
Experience providing training.
