HOW TO APPLY:

You will be required to answer screening questions to demonstrate how you meet the Essential Qualifications (Education and all Essential Experiences).

Intent of the process

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

• A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).

The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:

◦ An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

E1. Several* years of experience in the interpretation and application of the requirements of the Treasury Board Policy on Government Security and related directives or standards.
E2. Significant** experience in leading or coordinating multidisciplinary projects with internal and external stakeholders.
E3. Significant** and recent*** experience in physical security including the planning, conduct and reporting of facility security inspections, vulnerability assessments or threat and risk assessments.

**Significant experience is defined as having the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various, related activities. This experience would normally have been acquired over a period of one (1) year.

Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute in Security Management, Architecture or Civil Engineering technology, Mechanical or Electronic Technology, Property Management, or other specialty programs relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

Significant** experience in the research and development of corporate or departmental security related policy, guidelines, advisories or other related instruments.

Top Secret security clearance - All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.
