The successful candidate will develop experimental research projects in support of understanding atmospheric-surface interactions as they relate to agricultural practices on the micro- to meso-scales, such as the impacts of agriculture on climate, and the increasing variability of weather on agriculture. As part of the overall program, the incumbent will support established meteorological monitoring and the meteorological / climatological research requirements of researchers requiring specific ancillary data, and its analysis, in support of research projects in agronomy and plant breeding.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in physics, geology, chemistry, agrometeorology, meteorology, atmospheric science, atmospheric physics, physical geography, or other natural science related discipline associated with the position.

Experience in conducting field research experiments related to at least two of the following areas:
o Weather
o Climate
o Air quality
o Micrometeorology.
Experience in the analysis of atmospheric data.
Experience in authoring scientific publications such as refereed journal articles, technical reports, or expert reports for governmental or non-governmental agencies.
Experiencing working within a multi-disciplinary research organization.
Graduation with an acceptable post-graduate degree with a specialization in agrometeorology, meteorology, atmospheric science, atmospheric physics, physical geography, or other natural science related discipline associated with the position.
