**The assessment board cannot make any assumptions about your experience. It is insufficient to say that you have the required qualifications, to refer to your resume, or to list your current duties. When completing the screening questions, candidates must clearly demonstrate, using clear and concrete examples, how they meet essential and asset qualifications.**
PRE-SCREENING QUESTIONS: As part of your application, you must complete pre-screening questions.
FOR EACH CRITERION/QUESTION, please provide the following MANDATORY information:
1 - Name of the company or organization where the experience was acquired.
2 - Title of the position occupied and duration for which you exercised the functions.
3 - Specific details of tasks, projects or accomplishments demonstrating the experience was acquired.
The answers provided to the screening questions will be the main source of information used to evaluate applicants. Failure to provide complete answers may result in job applications being screened out from further consideration in this process. Applicants will not be solicited for incomplete or possible missing information.
"Asset qualifications" could be used either at the screening phase or to determine which candidate will be appointed. Therefore, if candidates meet the asset qualifications, they should also describe in the related screening questions how they meet these qualifications using detailed and concrete examples.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in Economics or Statistics.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON EDUCATION
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education and experience. If the specialization was not obtained within a degree program, the candidate must list the courses taken that demonstrate that the specialization requirement has been met.
EXPERIENCE for the EC-06 only :
E1. Significant* experience conducting quantitative economic analysis.
E2. Significant* experience producing economic or statistical reports for management**.
E3. Experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships with a network of contacts.
E4. Experience in the use of statistical software packages to carry quantitative analysis or research (software such as Stata, SPSS).
E5. Experience participating in the various stages of a complex*** initiative or project.
* Significant experience is defined as having performed the activities related to this task for at least five (5) years in the last ten (10) years as part of main duties and in a professional capacity.
** Management is defined as Director level or equivalent, or above.
***Complex is defined as involving one or more of the following elements: 1) use of various databases; 2) use of advanced statistical methods 3) developing new analytical methods; 4) incorporating non-economic considerations into economic analysis; 5) potential for broad or intense public scrutiny.
EXPERIENCE for the EC-07 only:
E1. Significant**** experience conducting quantitative economic analysis or research and providing related advice to senior management**.
E2. Significant**** experience producing economic or statistical reports for both senior management** and for the public.
E3. A minimum of 2 years of experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships with a network of contacts.
E4. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the use of statistical software packages to carry quantitative analysis or research (software such as Stata, SPSS).
E5. A minimum of 2 years of experience in supervising quantitative economic work of junior analysts.
E6. Experience developing and leading the various stages of a complex*** initiative or project.
**** Significant experience is defined as having performed the activities related to this task for at least eight (8) years in the last fifteen (15) years as part of main duties and in a professional capacity.
**Senior management is defined as Director General level or equivalent, and above.
***Complex is defined as involving at least two of the following elements: 1) use of various databases; 2) use of advanced statistical methods 3) developing new analytical methods; 4) incorporating non-economic considerations into economic analysis; 5) potential for broad or intense public scrutiny.
