Intent of the process

This anticipatory process could be used to create a pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates to fill positions as Advisors at the Québec-Chaudière-Appalaches business office and at the Special interventions office.

A pool of candidates could be created to staff similar positions with various language requirements and durations (indeterminate, transfer, assignment, secondment, acting, determined).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in business administration, accounting, commerce, finance, economics or in any other bachelor’s specialization combined with relevant experience.

*the term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in the preparation, analysis, recommendation and monitoring of funding proposals for business or NPO projects, for example the feasibility of the client’s project, financial health (ratios), or risk analysis.

- Experience in providing customer service, establishing partnerships and in business development, for example through meetings with and providing advice to entrepreneurs.

- Experience in researching, analyzing, and organizing relevant information, with the aim of integrating it into reports or notes in order to facilitate decision-making.

Depending on the position being staffed, one or some of the qualifications below may be considered as essential for the job. This doesn't mean that you must possess all qualifications, but these criteria may be a deciding factor in choosing the persons to be appointed.

ASSET EXPERIENCE
- Master's degree from a recognized university with a specialization relevant to the position (such as business administration, finance, etc.).
- Hold the title of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) of Québec
- Experience in evaluating or auditing financial statements.
- Experience working with Canadian businesses, other federal and provincial government departments and Indigenous organizations.
- Experience in collaboration and project development with indigenous peoples and their communities.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Willingness to do overtime occasionally.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, or the ability to move around to an extent usually associated with the possession of a driver's license.
