Information on your described education provided in the screening questions should be supported by your resume.You will be required to demonstrate how you meet the essential and assets qualifications by answering online screening questions and a text question.

Work environment

The mandate of the Department is to advance equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity or expression through the inclusion of people of all genders, including women, in Canada’s economic, social, and political life.

The Department for Women and Gender Equality works to uphold its mandate to advance gender equality by performing a central coordination function within the Government of Canada, in particular by developing and implementing policies, providing grants and contributions, delivering programs, investing in research, and providing advice to achieve equality for people of all genders, including women.

Intent of the process

As part of this process, a pool of partially qualified candidates will be created to fill PM-04 positions within the Department for Women and Gender Equality. These positions may be filled in various locations on a temporary basis (term, acting, assignment, secondment).

The pool of partially qualified candidates could also be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles and security requirements at the Department for Women and Gender Equality and other organizations.

Due to COVID-19, telework is currently the work method for the Department. In the event of a reintegration in the office, telework may be an option to discuss with hiring managers.

EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience**.

**An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience is defined as a secondary school diploma with approximately 2 years of cumulative experience in a field related to the duties of the position.

AE3. Experience in working on issues, projects or programs related to women, sex, or gender identity and expression issues;

AE5. Experience in delivery of training or information sessions;

AE6. Experience in carrying out quality assurance functions for Grants and Contributions;

AE7. Experience in developing and refining tools for the delivery of Grants and Contributions;

AE8: Experience in using Excel, including pivot tables.

PSEE - Test of Judgement UIT

Applicants must complete the Public Service Entrance Exam: Test of Judgement Unsupervised Internet Test as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses the judgement required for solving problems in work-related situations. You will have 75 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test before you submit your application for this position.
