We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.
When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.
When submitting your application, you MUST ANSWER questions regarding the education and experience requirements (both essential and asset qualifications). You must CLEARLY DEMONSTRATE how you meet each of these requirements by answering the online questions. It is not sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to only provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather you must clearly demonstrate WHEN (month-year to month-year), WHERE and HOW you acquired each qualification by giving CONCRETE EXAMPLES. Information provided in your answers related to your education and experience must be supported in your resume. Failure to provide the above information in the format required may result in your application being rejected from the process. The information you provide in the questionnaire must be true.
Applicants meeting the initial screening requirements might be contacted for further assessment.
Depending on the requirements of the position or positions being filled, any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements, and organizational needs may be considered at any time during this process. These criteria may be a deciding factor in choosing the persons to be appointed. Therefore, it is IMPORTANT that you answer each of the questions related to these requirements.
Only on-line applications received via the jobs.gc.ca site will be accepted in order to take advantage of the many benefits of using the electronic recruitment system.

Would you like to contribute to the smooth running of a federal election and experience this great democratic exercise "from the inside"? Are you fluent in English or French and one of the many languages commonly spoken in Canadian families? We need you!
When an election is called, Elections Canada must ensure that more than 27 million eligible Canadian citizens can vote, whether they are in Canada or around the world. Canada is the second largest country in the world, and community linguistic profiles vary greatly from sea to sea to sea.
Serving all Canadians wherever they are requires a special effort and a team that is totally impartial, dedicated and solution-oriented.
In order to serve the entire Canadian electorate, Elections Canada is building a workforce that is representative of the linguistic diversity of the Canadian population. At this time, we are creating an inventory of qualified candidates for various Information and Social Media Agent positions. In this type of role, you would help respond to the questions, comments and concerns of Canadian voters in English, French and sometimes in one of the many languages commonly spoken in Canadian households.
Do you want to be part of something big and important? Read on and apply!
Please note: Due to the current situation with COVID-19, successful candidate will be required to work from home until further notice. When a decision is made regarding the return to work of Elections Canada employees, the successful candidate may be required to perform duties at a National Capital Region office location.
A pool of fully qualified and/or partially qualified candidates will be established to staff various positions at the same group and level or equivalent with various tenures (permanent, temporary and casual employment) and with various linguistic profiles (Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, English or French essential).
