This position is located in Ottawa, ON or Toronto, ON. As a result of the global pandemic, OSFI employees are currently working from home. Should the current telework environment no longer apply, the successful candidate will be required to report to and work onsite from the Ottawa or Toronto office.
Security and Facilities Services in both the Ottawa and Toronto office are seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team in the role of Facilities and Materiel Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of administrative duties to a client group.
The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) is an independent agency of the Government of Canada, established in 1987 to contribute to the safety and soundness of the Canadian financial system. OSFI supervises and regulates federally registered banks and insurers, trust and loan companies, as well as private pension plans subject to federal oversight.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
- A secondary school diploma or higher level degree OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Recent* experience in the use of telecommunications systems, including audiovisual and videoconference systems.
- Recent* experience in general office and administrative procedures, including maintaining an inventory system.
- Recent* experience scheduling, coordinating and/or supporting facilities and material management activities including office moves
- Recent* experience liaising with property management company regarding facilities maintenance issues
- Recent* experience with preparing, scheduling and coordinating shipping and receiving activities.
*“Recent” is defined as having performed the duties within the last 4 years.
ASSET EXPERIENCE
- Experience in preparing requisitions and purchasing office supplies.
- Experience in coordinating the removal of surplus assets through GC surplus.
- Experience in using SAP software.
- Experience in the use of a service/helpdesk ticketing software

As a Separate Agency, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) appoints employees in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). OSFI is named in Schedule V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and it offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core Federal Public Service. In addition to this, OSFI employees obtain a minimum of 4 weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and are eligible for an annual performance bonus.
