Stream 1 - NHQ, IT Client Services
Stream 2 - Infrastructure Delivery Services
Stream 3 - Client Computing Integration Services.
Stream 1: Provide client services support at various levels (1 or 2) for software and desktop and computing devices in an enterprise IT environment. The duties of this stream can only be performed in the Ottawa, Ontario region.
Stream 2: Maintain a productive relationship with Shared Services Canada in support of CSC’s infrastructure needs. The duties of this stream can only be performed in the Ottawa, Ontario region.
Stream 3: Provide level 3 support and quality assurance testing of various national level applications. Provide 3rd level support for software and desktop and computing devices.
The Correctional Service Canada (CSC) is the federal government agency responsible for administering sentences of a term of two years or more, as imposed by the courts. CSC is responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under conditional release in the community.

EDUCATION
All Streams:
Successful completion of a two (2) year of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed; or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience relevant to the position.
Note: Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE
Streams 1 and 3:
Recent* experience providing hardware and software technical support to clients in an enterprise IT environment.
Recent* experience in troubleshooting and supporting via telephone, email or in person, Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2013 or above, and various Internet browsers.
Recent* experience in troubleshooting and supporting via telephone, email or in person, internet and client/server environments, LAN software, TCP/IP, intranet environments.
Stream 1:
Recent* experience in troubleshooting and supporting via telephone, email or in person, microcomputer system hardware components, smartphones, tablets.
Stream 2:
Recent* experience in developing accessible webpages using WET4 framework with HTML5 using publishing tools such as Dreamweaver.
Recent* experience in maintaining and enhancing Internet/Intranet sites.
Recent* experience applying and validating standards on Web Accessibility rules created by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat.
All Streams- Recent* is experience acquired within the last three (3) years.
All streams:
Certification relevant to information technology such as: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), A+, Networking +, MCSE.
Stream 1:
Certification relevant to Client Support.
All streams:
Experience using an enterprise IT Service Management system such as Axios Assyst; fully documenting incidents and service requests.
Experience working in an environment where initiatives have been guided by Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Streams 1 and 3:
Experience performing identity and access management using Active Directory.
Experience supporting and troubleshooting BlackBerry or Android smartphones in an enterprise environment.
Experience working with scripting languages such as Powershell.
Experience using systems management software such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
Stream 1:
Experience configuring and troubleshooting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) (MyKey) configurations.
Experience working in a front line user-support capacity i.e. Service Desk/Helpdesk.
Stream 2:
Experience with Web Content Management Systems such as Adobe Experience Manager or SharePoint.
Experience in digital image creation and manipulation.
Experience applying Government of Canada Web Standards on Usability, Accessibility, Interoperability and/or increasing digital service uptake through a user-centered approach.
Experience in applying the Canada.ca Content Style Guide.
Experience in applying the Treasury Board Secretariat’s Standard on Web Accessibility including WCAG 2.0.
Stream 3:
Experience in performing application and/or systems testing in LAN environments including installation, integration and regression testing.
