The intent of the process is to staff present and future position on a permanent or temporary basis within the DFO Gulf and Maritimes Regions. Please note that the selection process could be used to staff positions with various linguistic profiles, various tenures, various security requirements, various conditions of employment or operational requirements.

EDUCATION
• A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
EXPERIENCE
• Experience providing administrative support services (such as but not limited to arranging meetings, managing or maintaining electronic or hard-copy files, preparing or editing documents or reports, managing calendars).
• Experience answering general inquiries and information requests from internal or external clients.
• Experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
(AS-02 ONLY)
Significant * experience providing administrative support services (such as but not limited to arranging meetings, managing or maintaining electronic or hard-copy files, preparing or editing documents or reports, managing calendars, etc.).
*Significant is defined as depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of those duties for a period of approximately 1 (one) year.
The following education and experience qualifications could be deemed essential depending on the position.
EDUCATION (ASSET)
• Successful completion of two years post-secondary education or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
• Completion of at least one accounting course at the post-secondary level which is part of a diploma program
EXPERIENCE (ASSET)
• Experience in compiling information to support manager’s workload
• Experience reviewing budgets and financial spreadsheets
• Experience coordinating events (conferences, meetings, travel arrangements, etc.) and virtual meetings (teleconferencing, video conferencing, etc.)
• Experience working in an accounting environment
• Experience analyzing information, reports, and recommending solutions
