You MUST clearly demonstrate in writing how you meet the Essential Education, and Experience requirements. Provide examples and describe the work/duties you have performed. Failure to do so may result in your application not being considered further during the screening process.

Intent of the process

A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future vacancies (including similar positions, on a temporary, acting or permanent basis, on a casual basis, at full or part time hours).

Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Education:
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives.

The employer-approved alternatives to two years of secondary school are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to two years of secondary school; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
1. Recent* experience in performing clerical duties (such as assisting the general public, processing mail, filing, reception, etc.) in an office environment.
2. Experience in hard copy and electronic file management.
3. Recent* experience using a variety of software (such as Outlook, Word, and Excel) in a work setting.
4. Experience in handling challenging enquiries either in person or over the phone.

*Recent means experience obtained over approximately the last 2 years.

Asset Qualifications:
1. Recent* experience in processing financial accounts utilizing TEAM.
2. Experience procuring and organizing office equipment and supplies.
3. Experience in the administration and booking of meetings.
4. Experience with records, database or inventory management in a work setting.
5. *Recent experience using Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS) and National Administrative Records Management System (NARMS).
6. Experience using federal government electronic records management systems (GCDOCS).

*Recent means experience obtained over approximately the last 2 years.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:
1. Preference may be given to RCMP employees impacted/affected by work force adjustment.
