Royal Canadian Mounted Police
For nearly 150 years, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has been Canada's national police service. We have national, federal, provincial, and municipal policing mandates. From coast to coast to coast, we work at the community, provincial/territorial and federal levels. The RCMP is made up of more than 20,000 police officers, supported by nearly 10,000 civilian employees in over 700 detachments in 150 communities across the country. We also provide policing services in more than 600 Indigenous communities.
But, the RCMP is so much more than just a police service. We're part of the fabric of Canada, made up of people who care about their work, their communities and each other.
National Communication Services (NCS) is the RCMP's centre of communications expertise that navigates the communications needs nationally for the RCMP and supports a total of 16 divisions within this complex organization. NCS is made up of approximately 70 communication professionals and are looking for talented and skilled individuals to join our dynamic team. We offer a diverse, inclusive, respectful and healthy work environment that offers flexible work arrangements to ensure work-life balance. If you’re an experienced communications professional, value teamwork, challenging assignments and are innovative, collaborative and value high quality service to clients, we want to hear from you!
Our team is located at 73 Leikin Drive in Ottawa, Ontario (Barrhaven), in a modern building with plenty of free parking, and convenient access to bus routes immediately outside of the building.
Note: Due to COVID, the NCS team at present is in a 100% work from home environment.
