This is an anticipatory staffing process designed to create a pool of qualified candidates. The pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (permanent or temporary) and various security requirements within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Alberta.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.
Recent* and significant** experience using an operational electronic document management system in a Law Enforcement setting (such as, but not limited to, PROS, PRIME, NICHE, Versedex, etc.).
Experience applying policies relating to retention and disposition of physical and/or electronic operational records.
Experience in providing advice, support and recommendations to internal and/or external stakeholders.
Experience working collaboratively with internal and/or external stakeholders to build relationships and achieve common goals.
Recent* and significant** experience researching and applying policy, procedures and/or legislation.
Recent* and significant** experience using document, spreadsheet and email software such as Microsoft Office software.
* Recent is defined as experience obtained within the last 5 years.
** Significant is defined as experience obtained over a 2 year period.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
PROS Information Management Certification
PROS Supervisor Certification
Experience working in a law enforcement detachment setting.
Experience working for the RCMP.
Experience working with Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS).
Experience working with Police Access Tool (PAT).
Experience in interpreting and applying Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR).
Experience in providing data quality assessment and/or reviews in a workplace setting.
Experience delivering formal training sessions to individuals and/or groups.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required.
RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance – Those selected must meet and maintain the above condition of employment throughout their employment.
Willingness and ability to travel for work and/or training purposes using various modes of transportation, including owned or leased government transport, up to and including remote locations.
Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Willingness and ability to travel occasionally overnight as required.
Willingness and ability to deliver training through various methods.
