The Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) is a federal government organization responsible for the prosecution of criminal offenses under federal jurisdiction. Our organization consists of approximately 1000 employees in regional offices across the country who all play a key role in strengthening Canada’s criminal justice system. The PPSC handles the prosecution of all Criminal Code offences in the territories as well as offences under all other federal legislation, such as the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and the Fisheries Act.
We are located at Place Bell situated at 160 Elgin Street, an office complex in downtown Ottawa and next to the Rideau Canal and the Rideau Shopping Centre. This location offers easy access to restaurants, fitness facilities, walking/running paths and parks. We are conveniently located close to major bus routes making it easy to commute from all points across the city.

Education:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
Experience working as part of a team.
Asset Qualification - Experience:
- Experience in providing guidance to various stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and delivering training materials.
- Experience in processing accounts payable or accounts receivable, travel claims or account verification (e.g. verify accuracy and completeness of claims, recommending payment according to guidelines and directives).

Asset Qualification - Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the Agent Affairs Program of the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.
- Knowledge of the Terms and Conditions of Fixed Term Agent Agreement.
Asset Qualification - Abilities:
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office suite at intermediate* level.
*Intermediate level is defined as including operations such as:
- Word: use formatting tools, research tools, graphics; create tables, charts, headers and footers; insertion of table and chart from Microsoft Excel into the Microsoft Word.
- Excel: use formulas and advanced functions; showing the appropriate data/calculations/graphics formatted in table; sort and filter; protect and finalize a workbook.
- PowerPoint: Using albums, tables, charts, SmartArt, customized animation and audio/visual effects.
