Duties

Receives, reviews, coordinates, prepares and/or processes applications, correspondence and documents; ensuring accuracy of content and adherence to departmental procedures, regulations and legislation.
Provides administrative support to the technical teams.
Gathers and enters data into databases, verifies accuracy and generates reports and documents.
Files documents and keeps records in accordance with departmental directives and guidelines.
Provides mailing and associated distribution services.
Responds to inquiries from internal and external clients, and/or redirects inquiries to the appropriate source.
Invigilates written exams in the office and in the field, including: receiving candidates, determining eligibility, collecting fees if applicable, marking the exam and preparing the associated correspondence in accordance with regulations.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position in Thunder Bay on a full-time basis.

The results of this appointment process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates to fill future permanent or temporary vacancies for similar positions.

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in providing general administrative support services.
- Experience in providing client service.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
