The intent of this process is to staff the following position at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada in Whitehorse, Yukon:
- Regional Program Manager
A pool of candidates will be established to staff similar or identical position at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) or other federal departments and agencies located in Whitehorse, Yukon, with various tenures, linguistic profiles and/or security requirements.

EDUCATION:
• Graduation with a degree (baccalaureate or higher-level degree) from a recognized post-secondary institution OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior management on complex* issues.
• Experience in networking and engaging with various stakeholders to achieve objectives.
• Experience in engaging with Indigenous communities or organizations.
• Experience in the delivery of programs or services.
*Complex is defined as: multidimensional, composed of interconnected or related parts, dealing with matters that are complicated or intricate.

KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of Government of Canada’s priorities addressing Indigenous and northern issues.
• Knowledge of federal legislation and programs dealing with Indigenous issues on matters pertaining to health and social development.

The following criteria are not required for appointment but preference may be given to candidates who possess these qualifications.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in the delivery of community-based child protection and child welfare, community infrastructure, education or social development programs.
• Experience in contributing towards policy initiatives related to child and family services, social programming, or housing and community infrastructure projects.
• Experience working in a Northern and Indigenous cross-cultural environment.
• Significant* experience in managing a team.
• Experience managing a budget.
*Significant means breadth and depth of experience normally associated with having preformed a broad range of various complex related activities normally acquired over a two year period. The amount, the complexity and the diversity of activities will be taken into consideration.
ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:
