Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff three positions on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC and/or English Essential, and a RCMP Reliability security clearance.

A pool of candidates may be established and used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Notification regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Should a Public Service (PS) employee be found qualified and selected for appointment, notification regarding the PS appointment will be posted accordingly on www.jobs.gc.ca.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

► A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group; or

Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are CPA, CA, CMA or CGA

Degree equivalency

► Significant experience* in assessing complex financial or accounting issues.

► Significant experience* in interpreting financial policies and providing comprehensive advice to stakeholders through various formats (such as financial report, presentations or briefing notes).

* Significant experience (depth and/or breadth) is defined as experience acquired through the performance of a broad range of related activities in the field of work in question. Such experience is normally acquired through full-time employment over a period of three (3) years. It will be evaluated with regards to amount, complexity and diversity of work handled.
