Assessment accommodation

Intent of the process

The intent is to staff 8 indeterminate and term positions. A pool of qualified and partially qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff positions with various tenures and language requirements within the Ontario and Prairie Region, Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

Successful completion of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives*

*Note: The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

ALL POSITIONS:
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (or alternative e-mail software program).
Experience in providing administrative services in an office environment.

AS-01 POSITIONS ONLY:
Experience in the analysis and reporting of budgets, or providing human resources services and support.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Successful completion of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in Office Administration, Business Administration or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Degree equivalency

Experience providing human resources services and support
Experience working with the Public Service of Canada
Experience coordinating travel in a work environment, e.g. preparing or verifying travel claims
Experience in the use of SAP or other financial software system
Experience in Procurement
