Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the selected candidate will work remotely (telework) from his/her residence location until further notice. When the decision is made for Employment and Social Development Canada employees to return to the workplace, the successful candidate is expected to work at the traditional workplace located at 140 Promenade du Portage, Gatineau, Quebec or with a combination of remote work all while ensuring a flexible work schedule.

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group;

Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified General Accountant (CGA).

Significant* and recent** experience performing one or more of the following:
• Accounting operations (eg. accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, travel expenses, etc.);
• Providing financial policy advice and interpreting laws, policies, standards and procedures for financial management
• Financial Management Advisory Services;
• Financial reporting;
• Financial forecasting;
• Internal controls;
• Financial systems;
• Auditing;
• Corporate accounting.

Significant* and recent** experience in analyzing financial information and providing financial advice to clients or supervisor on a wide variety of financial subjects.
