EDUCATION:
• A professional studies diploma in automobile and heavy vehicle mechanics or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience linked to the position’s functions
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
• Possession of a Journeyman’s Certificate as an Automotive OR Heavy Duty Technician
EXPERIENCES:
• Recent (within the last two years) hands-on experience in repairing automobiles and/or light trucks in an automotive repair shop
• Experience in the maintenance, inspection and repair of vehicle components (e.g. suspension systems, drive train, brakes, etc.)
• Experience in placing orders for required replacement parts
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of diagnostic techniques and repair procedures for mechanical, electrical and electronic control systems of vehicles
• Knowledge of good safety practices
ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in supervising a maintenance repair shop
• Experience in using mechanical workshop exploitation system
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Possession of a valid class 3 Quebec driver’s license
OPERATIONALS REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed
• Ability to lift and carry heavy material (up to 40 kg)
• RCMP Reliability Status security clearance
• Possession of a valid class 5 Quebec driver's license
