This position is required to fulfill the role of Interior Designer with the AER (Architecture & Engineering Resources) Interior Design Group. The Interior Designer is mainly responsible for quality assurance and oversight on fit-up and accommodation projects. He/she monitors project delivery to ensure technical deliverables are in accordance with established scope of services, fee and timelines. The Interior Designer provides technical expertise in interior design as well as interior design services. The Interior Designer also assists in developing furniture procurement strategies and participates in activities pertaining to furniture requirements and procurement within project delivery.

The immediate need is to staff one (1) indeterminate position in one of the following locations: Halifax NS, Sydney NS, Moncton NB, Saint John NB, Charlottetown PE, St. John’s NL, or Corner Brook NL.
This process may be used to establish a pool of partially or fully qualified candidates that may be used to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various linguistic requirements and various security profiles within Public Services and Procurement Canada. The pool may also be used in the future to staff similar positions on a term or indeterminate basis.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a university degree from a recognized post-secondary Institution with specialization in Interior Design
OR
Graduation with a diploma in Interior Design from a recognized college
EXPERIENCE
Experience as an interior designer, providing interior design services as applied to office accommodations and/or other commercial and/or institutional interiors.
Experience must include:
a. Front-end project planning, including activities and project stages such as functional programming and needs analysis;
b. Concept design, space planning and design development;
c. Detailed design and construction documents including specifications;
Experience in working in a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of office accommodation projects.
Experience using AutoCAD software to produce drawings related to interior design such as construction drawings, schematics, plans and details drawings.
ASSET EXPERIENCE
Experience in coordinating the work of other related design disciplines such as engineers.
Experience in Design/Technical reviews of deliverables, and providing recommendations/direction.
English essential
