Education
•Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in physics, geology, chemistry, environmental or biological science, or some other science relevant to the position.
Experience
•Significant* experience in evaluating, analyzing, recommending and implementing grants and contribution programs.
•Experience in leading or participating on multi-jurisdictional and multi-agency teams or partnerships with conservation initiatives.
•Experience working effectively with government or environmental non-government organizations or industry.
•Experience in providing science-based program and policy advice.
*Significant is defined as depth and breadth of work experience normally acquired over a period of (2) years that does not need to be consecutive.
Asset Education
•Graduation with an advanced degree (Masters, Doctorate) from a recognized post-secondary institution in a natural, physical or applied science with specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
Asset Experience
•Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations.

•Knowledge of legislation and programs relating to the conservation of migratory birds and species at risk.
•Knowledge of the role of other wildlife agencies, non-government environmental organizations, local governments and aboriginal governments in conservation programs of Northern Canada.
