CSC is responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under conditional release in the community.

Intent of the process

Although the immediate intent of this Job Opportunity Advertisement is to staff indeterminately, applicants should be aware that a pool of qualified candidates (fully assessed or partially assessed) may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements listed in the Language Requirements section. In addition, this process may be used for various tenures (acting appointments, assignment, deployment, indeterminate, specified period, secondment), various security requirements and conditions of employment. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

1. Experience in the provision and coordination of administrative services* to a manager and/or a team.

2. Experience in interacting with stakeholders or clients.

3. Experience researching, interpreting, and responding to inquiries.

4. Experience using MS Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

*Administrative services is defined as, but not limited to: the collection and consolidation of information for the production of various reports, coordination of document approval, planning and coordination of meetings, drafting minutes, maintaining a records management system, managing schedules and e-mails or other related duties.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

EXPERIENCE:

1. Experience working within the field of Information Management (IM) and/or Records Management (RM).

2. Experience working with a retention and disposition schedule.

3. Experience in using Electronic Document Management Systems (For example: Documentum, RDIMS, Levelink, GCDocs).

4. Experience in performing financial related tasks such as budget tracking or forecasting, acquisition card reconciliation or petty cash or managing financial documents.

5. Experience providing support services in Human Resources.

6. Experience providing administrative support to senior management.

7. Experience in developing Forms using ADOBE software.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Willingness to work overtime occasionally and on short notice.

Depending on positions to be staffed:

1. Ability to shelve and remove boxes weighing an average of 15 kilograms.

2. Ability to climb mobile ladders to retrieve files from boxes situated on shelving.
